"Let's build a house!"
That was what the members of STS9 unanimously and collectively decided, it seemed, without saying a word to one another last November while visiting the Lower 9th Ward in the great city of New Orleans. The band's tour stopped through The Crescent City in the fall of 2008 just over 3 years after Hurricane Katrina left her indelible mark. What they found was a spectacular collision of failure and triumpth. A catastrophic break-down of a system that often moralized perfection and protection being held up, only, by the ineradicable love and will of it’s people to look forward and attempt to make things right.
